Part of my day job is to research and to pull inspiration from whatever I see. There is a company in Toronto called Berman & Co. Which is a rental supplier of costumes and wardrobes. They are a huge supplier to the television, film and photography industry.
In 2007 Berman & Co purchased the CBC's wardrobe department and has over 1 000 000 costumes. This definitely opens up endless possibility for creative expression. Their collection carries clothes from 1930s to current. It gave us a great insight to the graphics of each era, whether is was all over prints or embellishments.
A work friend and I where like two kids in a candy store, the collection was out of this world. I also couldn't believe how organized everything was.
