I love strawberry pickin' and for the past couple of years I have been pickin' and every time I make strawberry rhubarb jam, but not this year! This year I made strawberry rhubarb PIE!!! Now the filling for the pie isn't much different from jam. Instead of Certo Pectin for the jam, I used instant tapioca. Also, since I picked them myself with my mom the cost was minimal. Plus it's great knowing that we supported our local farmers!
Since I have never made a pie before, my grandmother was a big help, so I don't really have a recipe to share. Here are a few links to help you out if you ever have the desire to make your own pie.
